Does a visitor need to install an app?
No. The visitor scans the QR code and uses a regular mobile web page.
Does the QR code need power?
No. The QR code is printed material; only the phones and web app use power.
Are visitors recorded?
Not by default. Recordings are only prepared as an optional feature with explicit consent and retention settings.
Does it work with audio only?
Yes. Residents can answer with audio only when video is not needed or not wanted.
Can I add multiple residents?
Yes. Paid plans let an owner or admin add existing Knockly accounts to the organization.
What happens if nobody answers?
The call expires automatically and the visitor can leave a text message.
Can I block the QR code?
Yes. A door code can be revoked and replaced by a new secure code.
Can someone copy my QR code?
A copy can be scanned again, but you can revoke codes, set scan limits and block abuse.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes, via Safari over HTTPS. Push notifications follow the usual iOS PWA limits.
Does it work on Android?
Yes, via modern Android browsers such as Chrome and Edge.
Can a courier leave a message?
Yes. The visitor can ring or leave a short text message.
