Privacy notice

Knockly is designed with privacy as the starting point. The product only stores data needed for account management, door settings, call history, visitor messages and abuse prevention.

• No fixed camera and no automatic camera access.
• Visitors do not need an account.
• Live calls are not recorded. Knockly does not store their live video or audio.
• A video message is recorded only after the visitor explicitly chooses to start and send it.
• Video messages are private to authorized residents and expire automatically after 7, 30 or 365 days, depending on the active plan.
• Visitor sessions and call tokens expire automatically.
• IP addresses are hashed where needed for safety and rate limiting.
• For a paid website subscription, Knockly stores Stripe customer, subscription, invoice status and renewal references needed to provide the selected plan. Stripe processes payment details.
• When an account owner orders a physical Small Print Card, Stripe collects the payment and delivery address. Knockly stores only the order and address data needed to make, send and support that order.
• For a paid physical sticker order or the free stickers included with a newly paid annual plan, Knockly shares the recipient name, delivery address, contact email, production quantity and personalized print PDF with Copystop solely for production and direct delivery. Copystop may not use this information for its own marketing.
• Delivery partners provide an address so Knockly can make and send approved promotional material containing their personal referral QR. Knockly uses this address only for fulfillment and support of the partner program.
• Residents can delete their account from the Knockly account settings. Deletion revokes sessions and push subscriptions, removes access memberships and anonymizes account details while preserving only records that are legally or operationally required.
